Mood Media Pandora Jewelry Case Study<br />

Objective

Pandora approached Mood to orchestrate the remodel of their iconic Times Square flagship location. The top priority was to elevate the in-store journey through captivating visual activations and fun brand messaging that could stand out in one of the world’s most high-traffic environments.

Prior to this partnership, Pandora recognized the need for a more immersive digital signage solution to showcase their offerings and drive foot traffic. They required a comprehensive program that included high-performance media players, custom content development, and global support. To achieve these goals, Pandora needed an experienced partner capable of delivering specialized, flagship-level solutions and professional installation. Mood provided the single-source solution required to elevate this prestigious retail space.

Solutions

Leveraging years of experience serving global organizations, Mood designed and implemented a trailblazing visual and audio program for the NYC flagship. To establish a high level of engagement, Mood’s design team collaborated with Pandora to explore unique visual activations that would resonate with a diverse, global audience.

Based on these strategic insights, Mood curated a custom music solution and developed recessed LED displays to immerse customers in the Pandora brand story. This approach focused on creating an environment that feels elevated and fresh, offering a sense of approachable, timeless luxury.

Custom Music

Pandora’s in-store audio features two custom-designed music programs. These programs, spanning modern pop and classic vocal jazz, create a lavish and vibrant sound that mirrors the uniquely uplifting spirit of Pandora Jewelry.

The music is professionally curated around three core pillars: Personality (engaging pop hits), Sentimentality (soulful selections centered on love and togetherness), and Luxury (sophisticated vocal jazz). This custom solution ensures guests feel inspired by familiar songs while enjoying a luxurious, vibrant atmosphere perfectly suited to the brand.

Mood’s global licensing experts manage all necessary international rights, guaranteeing the music is fully licensed and screened for commercial business use.

Digital Signage Solutions

In order to capture attention and drive sales, Mood designed and implemented the following custom digital signage solutions:

LED Features: A custom LED ticker encircles the entire store, complemented by a recessed LED promotional display. These engagements showcase seasonal and promotional messaging in breathtaking detail.

Window-Facing Display: To capture foot traffic, Mood created a custom “Pandora Pink” display enclosure featuring a high-brightness 86” LCD. This fixture provides outside-the-store marketing opportunities to pull potential customers inside—a solution Pandora plans to implement as a global standard.

Sound Systems

To complement the visual grandeur of the Times Square flagship, Mood engineered a high-fidelity audio environment using the Sonance Professional Series speaker collection. In a high-traffic, high-ceiling environment like Times Square, standard retail audio often gets “lost” or becomes distorted. Mood’s engineers performed a comprehensive acoustic analysis to ensure even sound distribution, eliminating dead zones and providing a seamless “blanket” of audio throughout the store.

Content Management ~ Seamless Control with Mood Harmony™

To manage this sophisticated ecosystem efficiently, the flagship utilizes Mood Harmony, Mood’s intuitive, web-based Content Management System (CMS). This centralized hub empowers Pandora to orchestrate and schedule all in-store media—including both the curated music programs and the dynamic digital signage displays—from a single interface. By leveraging this platform, Pandora can update content and messaging remotely with ease, ensuring real-time consistency and a seamless brand experience.

Results

By partnering with Mood on the Times Square flagship, Pandora has activated a purposeful and elevated experience that brilliantly reflects their aesthetic. This project successfully matches visual and audio brand messaging to create a cohesive, “must-visit” destination.
